* Ken joins UCC Aduku as System Administrator

I received my appointment letter today 20th May 2011 to start work as System Administrator, Uganda College of Commerce, Aduku, of Metropolitan University. What a joy to serve my country more and more!

* Ken networks Glory Cyber Cafe - Lira

I did computer networking at GLORY CYBER CAFE - LIRA, which I'm sure is currently the fastest internet cafe in Lira District, Northern Uganda, and was retained as the main technical person. The director, Eng. James Oyee said "...be sure all my internet related help will be done by you." Am grateful for the opportunity to do that.

* Ken designs Database Management System and website for Christ Alive Glorious Ministries International

I started the above project on Monday 21st June 2010. The website also includes a database for;

• all Church management records
  
• Child development Center
  
• and the sub ministries of Children, Women and Youth ministries.

I am glad about this - it becomes the tenth website I work on after Uganda Veterinary
Association, Forum for Democracy in Leadership political party, Rosa International IT Consults Ltd (upgrade), FOCUS Uganda, Perfect Group Investments, Swingers by Choice, Makerere University Ethnobotany Association, Uganda Scouts Association website (redesign) and Uganda Children's Burden Center official websites.

* Ken joins Electoral Commission Uganda

I started working with Electoral Commission Uganda today 8th June 2010 as an Eloctoral Duplicate Analysis operator.

Am glad to contribute to the clean and fare electoral process in my country, and will make sure no duplicate registrations exist on the general voting register. Am glad to serve my country once again.

I started working with National Information Technology Authority uganda on Monday 3rd May 2010 as an intern worker.

I am glad to contribute to my country - the Republic of Uganda.

I did troubleshooting and repairs to the Server, server printer and Finance and administration office of ACTED from 23rd to 24th March 2010.

* Ken rejoins Scripture Union of Uganda

I rejoined Scripture Union of Uganda to work as Junior Scripture Union Regional Coordinator on Wednesday 24th March 2010.

I am glad to be part of the vision of SU for the forth time, first as volunteer Regional Coordinator (2004-2005), second as volunteer computer networker (2008) and third time when I developed a database management system for the organization.

* Ken redesigns Uganda Scouts Association official website

I begun working on this website redesign today Thursday 24th of February 2010 after the official launch of the project yesterday 23rd February at Uganda Scouts Association Headquarters in Kampala for three weeks. An old website already existed. This was part of project I did under Satesoft Company Limited in conjunction with Webnet Uganda Limited as part of a general team for many projects under the same initiative, and directly under supervision of both respective Directors.

* Ken translates Google.co.ug to Ugandan languages

I participated in this project as group leader for the Luo group. The program started in February 2009 and went slowly till February this year 2010 when was completed.

Luo is the language spoken by the second largest ethnic group in Uganda - the Nilo Hamites.

In 2008, when I participated in the translation of Mozilla Firefox into Luganda, the most widely spoken language in Uganda, I wrote that it was his interest to have something of the same sort happening for his mother language too (Look at my August 2008 publications here). This has finally come to pass and has left me so exited.

Congratulations to Google for all their good initiatives.

* Ken designs Makerere University Ethnobotany Association official website

I started the design of the official website for Makerere University Ethnobotany Association on Friday 5th of February 2010. I was given this work under Satesoft Company Limited where I am currently hired.

I joined Satesoft Company Limited on Monday, February 1st 2010, as a Offsite Software Developer. Satesoft Company is a company that deals in general information technology needs of the society.

* Ken becomes Web Master

Following my design of Uganda Childrens Burden Center official website (UCBC) here, yesterday 25th January 2010, the founder and Country Director today Tuesday 26th January 2010 called me and made me the Webmaster "forever" until I opt to leave the work.

I am grateful to contribute to the great things that UCBC is doing for the people.

* Ken develops Uganda Children's Burden Centre official website

I started working on my seventh website, the Uganda Children's Burden Centre official website on Wednesday 6th January 2010 and finished today 20th January 2010. I was given this project by Mr. Ronald Kizembira Kyobe, the Executive Director, who also supervised the project himself.

Yeah, I have always said Heaven is the limit!

* Ken develops Swingser by Choice official website

I started working on the official website of Swingers by Choice on Tuesday 8th December 2009 and finished today 15th December 2009. I was given this project by Joe Odur, the coordinator.

It was a great pleasure to work with a professional in web author!

'Never despise humble beginnings' was my sentence when I begun website developments, and now I can see it come to pass positively.

* Ken develops Mulago Focus Child Project Database Management System

I got this project from the Project Coordinator, on Friday 30th October 2009 at the Head Office in Mulago, Kampala - Uganda, after doing Repairs and Maintenance work on the organization's computers. and started working on today, Monday 2nd November 2009.

This project like the Scripture Union of Uganda Database Management System I developed earlier, includes the whole process of a Database Management System software development from requirements collection to final testing and handover of the system.

This on completion will be my sixth DBMS developed, first of which was a University Faculty Student Management System done as a class coursework as a student at Makerere University, an Automobile Purchasing System as a final year project(In a group of eight)for Spear Motors Ltd and a Patient Appointment Scheduling System (In a group of four) for TASO Uganda, one as an intern worker with ROSA-International IT Consultants LTD and a Database management system for Scripture Union of Uganda.

I am glad to work for Mulago Focus Child Project again after working on the computers as well as other works done here before.

* Ken troubleshoots / repairs Mulago Focus Child project Computers

I did troubleshooting and repairs of both computer hardware and software at Mulago Focus Child project on Monday 26th and Tuesday 27th of October 2009 on all desktop computers as well as the project Coordinator's laptop, of operating Systems and other application software repairs as well as new installations.

I am glad to work with Mulago Focus Child project again after other smaller works done here before, a sister organization to FOCUS Uganda where I also work as volunteer systems administrator.

* Ken develops Scripture Union of Uganda Database Management System

I worked on this project from Wednesday 9th September to Friday 16th October 2009. I was given this project by The Administrator of Scripture Union of Uganda on the 2nd of September 2009 and I worked under the supervision of The Development Officer.

It is a project that was once started but not completed so I am redesigning everything afresh from scratch. This becomes the fifth database management system I develop!

I was glad to be involved again in Scripture Union of Uganda for the third time; where I first served as a Regional Coordinator, Northern Uganda for more than a year (March 2004- September 2005) and later as a volunteer computer networker in 2008.

* Ken develops Perfect Group Investments official website

I started working on the official website of Perfect group Investments on 5th September 2009 and finished to day 21 st September 2009. I was given this project by the Director, Jimmy Richard Ocen a week before the work begun.

This is the fifth website I work on after Uganda Veterinary Association official website, Rosa-International IT Consultants Ltd official website (Website upgrade), Forum for Integrity in Leadership political party official website and Fellowship of Christian Unions-Uganda official website (Website upgrade).
